About me
I am a teacher, a mother of two children, and since my last COVID-19 illness in spring 2023, I have been living with Long COVID. This has fundamentally changed my life – so much of what I used to do I could no longer do. But in its place, I discovered something new. I started painting, calligraphing, and writing.

Reading from my book
more about my bookMy texts are about what I experience daily: the invisible illness, the challenges of everyday life, but also the small moments of hope. I write essays, record everyday observations, and draw – always with a pinch of humor and honesty. It is important to me that my readers feel understood and know: You are not alone.
With my book, I want to create a space where Long Covid no longer remains invisible. I want to show how to not lose sight of your path even in difficult times and how important it is to appreciate small progress. -
Painting
more about my artFor me, painting is freedom.
I never thought I would find fulfillment in painting pictures. Art played no role, not even the slightest, for me or in my life. I would even have described myself as uncreative – until I started doing it. And suddenly, there was this big world I wanted to explore, where I wanted to try new things, and which brought me fulfillment.

Calligraphy
more about my calligraphy"Being able to write beautifully," that was a long-held wish tucked away somewhere in my mind.
After the first few weeks, during which I spent almost all my time lying on the sofa, I needed something to occupy myself with, and I remembered this wish. I started with brush lettering and, after some time, switched to the pointed pen.
Calligraphy, for me, is about finding peace. In the careful writing of letters, the focused work, a nearly meditative emptiness sometimes arises.
